That, and according to one of the esteemed members of the CBC, Hank Johnson, GA (D), it’ll tip over if so much as 8K Marines get stationed there...

Kind of like the Missouri Compromise.

One Slave state (democrat), one Free state.

I vote for independence. So PR will no longer be dependent on American taxpayers. Adios, PR.

Absolutely no statehood for the corrupt democrat backwater.

Give honorably discharged Vets a free parcel in PR, a manufactured home loan with an agreement to live on the island for at least 5 years. When the island has a Vet majority, consider PR for inclusion as a County of Florida.

Those Republicans must be removed. Guaranteeing two more RAT senators and some RAT congresscritters can only do harm.

Guam only has 170K population. It does not have enough population

Nothing in the Constitution says there is a minimum population for statehood.

I would rather give them their independence.

Worst idea ever. We need Puerto Rico as a state like we need a hole in the head. We’d be getting an extra 2 permanent RATS US Senators for starters. Just think, if Puerto Rico where a state, Chucky Schumer would be the Majority’s Leader right now and all Trump’s judicial nominees (including Gorsuch and the upcoming SCOTUS nomination) would be DOA.
Who are these stupid GOP Congressmen who keep introducing such idiotic bills anyway.

Not a chance. Singaporeans are extremely hard working, very highly educated,, very entrepreneurial etc. Puerto Ricans are none of the above.

The Uniparty already decided for US that PR would be the 51st state.
It was the weasel Eric Cantor’s vote for PR statehood that made me determined to remove him from office.

I’d say cut it loose to be independent. I don’t think P.R. belongs as a state.

As a Native Floridian.....how about no? How does “No” sound to you?

You realize we’re still holding the line again all the socialist Yankees in Miami and keeping Florida as a red state most of the time right? You want to tip the 3rd largest state with its 29 electoral votes to the Democrats?

False (though 170,000 would be enough for admission).

OK so then where is that in the Constitution? I'm not seeing it?

Forget Spain, invite the Cuban army to come occupy it.

PR’s I knew in the military admired everything Cuban & thought Castro got a raw deal from the U.S. Some boasted about never having voted in a Presidential election.

Their political culture is corrupt and they only take, not give. Grant them independence and Cuba will annex PR. Problem solved.
