The left goes crazy when you say that Fascism is Leftist. And it is. Turkey is Fascist Islamist at this point.

Your suggestion that the CHP would not be a large improvement over the Islamist and Erdogan is correct. Both are guilty of massacres, genocide and terrible crimes against humanity.

Yes, Syrian Kurds are leftist. On a local level, they are communal. (somewhat similar to our Survivalists in the US.) They are not Communist, although at some point in the past it is clear that the PKK had leaders who were. Some of the less informed still flash Che’ pictures, thinking is it cool, usually the young ones. (Like our loonie left in the US.)

I make no excuses for Leftists, but I know some Syrian Kurds and our military knows them. They are not evil people, they have helped their neighbors survive this. And they have done this at high cost in their own lives. Many times I've observed this and tried to help them on the humanitarian side. Will be happy to discuss this, but not in this format.

Many of the Kemalists exist in Europe. I've had discussions with some of them. They loath Erdogan, but right now he is in power.
