Some time ago, I was searching for a one-word pejorative term equivalent to “harridan” to hang on Tim Kaine, given that Hitlery, a noxious, venomous harridan, had selected the male equivalent (i.e. Tim Kaine) to be her running mate.
I went looking for a term that would apply to a male noxious, venomous “harridan.” I could find no such term, and went to my “go to” web site (http://www.FReerepublic.com) for help.
One of my FR buddies suggested “asshole,” which on first glance just may be too strong a term to use, and certainly not in polite company.

No, actually the Jews were promised ALL of the Palestinian Mandate held by Britain under the Balfour Declaration (based on their help fighting the Turks in WW1 - it wasn’t for free). What later transpired is that Transjordan (today’s Jordan) was sliced off to appease the Arabs (how’s that working out?), and Transjordan was 7/8 of that land area. Then the Jews didn’t even get all of what was left - Egypt grabbed Gaza, and Jordan kept the “West Bank” (Judea and Samaria), so the Jews got less than 1/8 of what they were promised in the Balfour Declaration.
