He did enormous harm to the career of one Sam Francis and the stress probably shortened his life.

Who did harm to Sam Francis: D'Sousa? How and when?

Interesting articles at your links, btw. They are good reading start to finish, but I fail to see the connection to Sam Francis being ruined. Please fill in the blanks.

I agree.

But “dumb” is pretty tame, as words go.

Unless I missed something, more strong than that.

So you’re OK with me calling you dumb when you ask a question?

Well sort of. But sort of no. A bit of both.

Sorry I am just saying. Sure it is a bit of an insult, but pretty tame, in the overall scheme of things.

I get your point. I get both points, actually. This is a 50/50 one in my view, really.

I see your point though.

I'll dig up some of that history to see if I can fill you in. Goes back to the early '90s when the likes of Frum and Dinesh were currying favor with the PC crowd by doing the Left's dirty work. Here's one, I'll hunt for others.

On TV, he acted like a fellow who had gotten a vision. He did seem like an unlikely man to expect it from. There had been a load of compromisin’ on the road to the horizon where he was before this bid. In fact he had ascended as a Democrat and had toed an unsurprising Democrat line. Why did he turn on this? He acted as though God had spoken to him, and with virtually no formal religious context to relate it to, and not enough theology to wad a shotgun, he still accepted.

He was attacked by the Obamas and his attorney general in the same manner as a Mugabe attacked his opponents. This is African politics, period.

What we ought to be saying, even more than Trump! Trump! Trump! is: OH WHAT A WONDERFUL AND MIGHTY GOD WE SERVE.

America has been profligate — similar in a way to how Donald Trump had been profligate. We don’t deserve more gifts of God. We even deserve to lose whatever gifts of God we had. God has stooped what might be one last time to an America that He has every reason to be angry at, with a message of compassionate pity to put our sin load on His willing Son. And it’s far, far from being solely a Donald Trump thing. I’ve seen Franklin Graham get into it — his dad Billy was shy of politics and that might have been right for his mid 20th century situation, but now we needed someone who would take the bull by the horns if necessary.

It may even be possible that the world of sin may soon be in for a serious bustdown, and God in compassion wants America to be ready to ride it out. This is prepping, but not in the way that the lone-ranger preppers typically think about it. It’s more like how Joseph interpreted Pharoah’s dream to advise Egypt to spend seven years saving as much wheat as possible against a coming famine. At least in what one preacher I knew called “sanctified imagination.” We’ll actually know when we get there.

I saw Hillary’s America - it was the sweetest possible revenge for him, and may have helped to sway a number of people to vote against the Dems.

He did remark near the end that he didn’t have the right to vote...and now our great POTUS has fixed that problem (like so many others). I am VERY happy for Dinesh...few deserved it more than him.

People in the blue state theater where we saw it stood up and cheered at the end. Astounding. His movies have that edge of CGI in them that gives them the quaility of graphic novels or films made for senior high schoolers, but, hey -- that's what our electorate needs. Someone to break it down and tell it to them in pictures, since most people under 40 spend their entire lives looking at screens.
