The rebooted comedy debuted its nine-episode run midseason and finished as the TV season's No. 1 scripted series on all of broadcast. Roseanne had been averaging a 5.5 rating among adults 18-49 and 19.3 million viewers with live-plus-3 lifts. With a full week of time-shifting, those numbers climbed to a 6.4 rating in the key demo and 22.1 million viewers. Either way, Roseanne was the highest-rated and most watched series of the broadcast season, eclipsing NBC's This Is Us and CBS' Big Bang Theory — which had been in a heated battle for top status.

I haven’t watched TV for a very long time. But from what little I gathered while reading about the show, “Roseanne,” the script started with some ostensible praise for the recent positive change in government. Is that correct? And the script was starting to move toward some attempt to denigrate the new, positive change?

If that’s the case, then Roseanne may well have just made a selfless move of real genius for all. She might have just knocked the wheels off of one effort from the left to propagandize women against recent successes for freedom.

I knew this show wouldn't last no matter how good the ratings were. The left are so radical these days they won't accept any conservative viewpoint to have an audience. Roseanne and Last Man Standing weren't even conservative shows. They just had conservative characters along with liberal characters who were also allowed to express their views. They are only considered conservative because they are the only shows that allowed a conservative viewpoint to be expressed that wasn't written to mock conservatives.

The tweet I saw was not a racist one. Even if it were, does it mean that those with racist views are not allowed on TV at all?

ABC makes the point that if one member of a show is racist, then the whole show will be show cancelled. That is insane.
