RE:”Every morning, Joe trods the same path: “Can you believe what Trump has done? He does not respect the institutions that we, the establishment, have been running. He does not understand the principles that we, the establishment, have been upholding. He is disrupting the status quo that validates our superiority. When will Republicans in the Senate say “enough” and stand up to Donald Trump? And when will someone pass the Grey Poupon?”

That's about the whole show every show.. except you forgot that Joe adds daily that he is the real conservative and 2nd Amendment supporter (while being a new gun ban law supporter) and he is against pulling out of the Obama-Iran deal that he claims he was against.

I am shocked that a “conservative” would ever admit watching it.

I bet they make up the vast majority of his viewers--fools

Someone told me Morning Joe is really conservative. And that while they criticize, they aren’t liberal like other media programs.

Scarborough is conservative by comparison to the rest of the panel. They're all various degrees of liberal.

What is it with you guys trolling me? I seem to have upset your delicate sensibilities and oh-so-pure anti-racism that comes and goes, I suppose, depending on who you are writing to.

Imus was a brilliant interviewer and entertainer. Morning Joe is a backstabbing creep who connived his way into tv. Imus rose through the radio ranks.

With use guys?

There’s no use guys trolling you any more than any other self-righteous bigmouth who wants to attack posters while not being called to account.

Save the lecture on Scarborough and Imus...there are plenty of us who also have a radio and television, and were decades-long fans of the latter.

Get off your high nag for a moment and consider what your response to a national TV host who dropped a slur like “hook-nosed JAPs” would be.

You ought to know by now, for goodness’ sake, that everyone on FR takes a hit from time to time, particularly those whose specialty is talking down to others.

The article is not worth reading.

Too bad; you missed this:

I would not ask anyone in this television family to become what they are not or defend what they find indefensible. I would not ask that they consider what is becoming obvious to others: Donald Trump may end up not only being a good president but a great one, with a powerful record of accomplishment, precisely because he is doing the opposite of everything Morning Joe supports.

What might help is introspection: Donald Trump was a hand grenade thrown under Washington’s door. Millions of Americans saw Trump, with his gargantuan failings and excesses, and chose him anyway over the world Morning Joe continues to defend. Someone might ask, “Why?”

“What have we been doing wrong? Was our failure that majestic?” Joe might even ask, “What should we, the family that represents America’s establishment, learn from this massive rejection, since our country did risk the entire future of humanity on Donald Trump rather than go one more lap around the track with us.”

Of course, neither old political party is asking those questions, so neither is this program. And that’s where we find ourselves: This week, if you miss one Morning Joe, don’t worry. The same show will run again tomorrow. The Trump outrage under discussion will be different, but the script will be identical. If you want to see a great American family parrot the political establishment, pour yourself a cup of Morning Joe and fit in. This tribe is where you belong.

The conflict between mom and dad is gone. The relationship that once ignited sparks has been dimmed and homogenized.

When they started sleeping together...

>> Bring back Imus <<

The word I heard was that Fox Business Channel would have kept his program going, but that Imus (or his very eccentric wife?) decided they should move to a boondox hamlet in Texas where there isn’t the necessary infrastructure for a proper studio, telecommunications links and support staff.

(But at least the area offers plenty of opportunities for Wyatt to pursue his rodeo interests.)

He was on MSNBC, not Fox. Was he supposed to go with Fox Business?

It was Albuquerque where he has his ranch, not Texas. He was there during the summer months while his associates stayed in New York City. He's just retired from his radio show.

Joe Scarborough, a fawning regular on Imus in the Morning, helped to oust Imus from MSNBC when the woman's basketball “scandal” broke out. He took over. Later, Imus on WABC said that Scarborough's brief time as a radio host on WABC was caused by the many complaints by Joe's staffers to Human Resources. He did not elaborate.

He was a Republican of the ‘neverTrump’ variety... he backed Jeb. A few months back he stopped pretending - - and switched his registration to ‘Independent’. If he was totally honest he would go all the way and become a democrat.

LOL. Yep, in order to be in MSNBC, he has to pass a liberal litmus test.

I wonder sometimes about these turncoat people. They get it from everyone. They will be disavowed by their former political pals, but their new political party will.never quite trust them, because they came from the other party.

Arlen Spector changed parties and was defeated in the primary when he ran for the Democrats Senate nomination.

Joe Lieberman left the Democrats, became an independent, and spoke at the Republican convention. He was similarly not really in good standing with either party afterwards.

You’re right about the turncoats - time goes by and they look around and there’s no tribe. That’s gonna be hard on Joe since ‘popularity’ is one of his issues.

>> He was on MSNBC, not Fox. <<

Imus was booted from MSNBC right after the “nappy hoes” comment.

Then he was off of TV for a while until a tiny network aimed at farmers and ranchers — called “RFD-TV” — picked him up. I was delighted when I found that channel on satellite and watched for many mornings.

After Imus spent a year or so on RFD, Roger Ailes put him on Fox Business Channel, where he stayed until two or three years ago. I used to watch that show also, although I thought it was less interesting than the previous iterations due to too stock-market reporting.

But when Imus decided to move to Texas, FBC replaced him with Maria “Money Honey” Bartiromo. The story was that his new location in Texas didn’t have a studio, and neither Imus nor FBC wanted to pay for setting one up.

All the above is about the TV show. The radio show continued unabated on WABC 770 and on an Internet stream from the new Texas location, until Imus’s retirement a few months ago.

>> Was he supposed to go with Fox Business? <<

No “supposed” about it. He was there for maybe four or five years.

>> It was Albuquerque where he has his ranch, not Texas <<

That was the ranch for kids with cancer. It eventually closed and was put up for sale. Fetched much less than the original asking price.

Anyway, Imus finally relocated to Texas. You can look it up.

Well, you certainly know more than I do! Now that you mention it, I remember that he always had that southern chick on from Fox Business!

So, they closed down the ranch. There were always rumors it was a tax dodge. After he was kicked off MSNBC, I only listened to him on the radio.

Thanks for the update.

Rules for Radicals: “Power is not only what you have but what the enemy thinks you have.”

This perceived power keeps week individuals silent in the face of their abusers. As the Bill and Hillary cabal lose more and more real power, money & influence their perceived power plummets even faster so as their grip fades more individuals that have been injured will join the attack as they apprehend they are no longer in danger of reprisal

With Hillary out they all have lost their cover, Lauer was one of the first to fall, Wienstien, Cosby... it's unraveling faster and faster now, so many more to come.

Enjoy the show.
