Trump stays on course to get us out of there, and we now have some public debate for getting some diplomatic solution here.
The question really is, who wanted to limit the response and who wanted to expand it. There’s been some postings here that say Trump wanted to bomb the heck out of the airports, but Mad Dog convinced him not to do that.

Trump realizes, as just about every one here, but you that Syria is a mess that we can’t solve. Maybe we can continue some presence in the North, that keeps the peace once peace is achieved, but bombing the crap out of that country, including airports, Russian held camps etc would have been stupid.
Trump is mopping things up, and doing it without one iota support from anyone even his own party.
