Let’s see....she’s a Democrat Senator from Illinois. Why doesn’t she do EVERYBODY a favor & stay home for a few months?
Yep. Celebrate the survivor!
Or she could sit on the baby to demonstrate the mountain of debt slavery already crushing baby’s lonely future.
Tammy Duckworth was born on March 12, 1968, in Bangkok, Thailand. She was deployed to serve in the Iraq War in 2004 and lost both of her legs when her helicopter was struck.
In 2006 she became director of the Illinois Department of Veterans’ Affairs. In 2009, President Barack Obama appointed Duckworth as assistant secretary in the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
In 2012 she was elected to Congress, representing Illinois 8th District. Four years later, she was elected a U.S. senator, thereby becoming the first disabled woman and the second Asian-American woman in the Senate.
Wonder what other bodily functions can get resolutions passed...
“Why cant the baby stay at home with Dad while he takes some paternity leave? The best place for a newborn is NOT at work.”
Of course, you’re right. However, I’m sure a Senator’s offices are spacious enough for a baby and a nanny, so the baby’s being on the Senate floor is TRULY ludicrous.
First democrat to bring baby onto floor that isn’t a jar.
I’m sure the baby can learn some tips from all the members. Nobody feeds at the trough as well as those around the baby.

I grew up in rural Wisconsin. The next door neighbor was pregnant with their 5th child. She was out on the tractor when she felt the correct labor pains. Her husband drove her the 45 minutes to the hospital, and she gave birth less than 30 minutes later.
SHE was back on that tractor the next day, and the oldest girl was taking care of the baby on summer vacation.
IIRC, that family had the best behaved kids of all.
I did the best thing for my son by staying home and raising him. I will never regret that decision.
Now that I am ready to start collecting social security I get way less than my husband. I’m glad I’m not depending on social security alone.
