yep
The fact that the evidence against Assad is ambiguous actually helps POTUS’s bargaining position.
I concur. This is the place Hillary would have had us within the first year. And the war party part of the GOP wants to take us there kicking and screaming.
Here’s the theory. Take it for what it’s worth. POTUS is using this situation as an opportunity to lean on Russia - not with regards to Syria but with regards to Iran. Iran is the end game.
I don't pretend to know PDJT's strategy, I wish I had met the man, and had a chance to listen to his method of analysis and evaluation.
I only know he strikes me as an energetic, honest and sincere man who enjoys being social but dislikes deception and will fight back against those derogatory or impolite.
If he is really good at foiling those who would pat him on the back while holding a knife, then we have a chance.
[Dont forget all the missile launch sites in the Midwest]
Just a FWIW and I’m certainly NOT advocating war. Just a comment on your comment.
All the missile sites in the Midwest were deactivated some time ago. The missiles were moved to a newer field in Montana, Wyoming, Nebraska, Colorado...
Pretty much F.E. Warren AFB controls them, I think.
Anyone with additional or corrected info, please post.
[this is what the Deep State brought us to]
I agree. They are Hell-bound to make something happen.
[urban voters don’t have good surviving skills]
True. Just wait until Whole Foods runs out. I remember them showing empty shelves after Amazon(?) took over.
The big cities will be very bad places to be in any sort of real crisis / national emergency.
I meant Hell-bent. And the other probably works as well.
Hillary lost so they’re willing to tear everything down in their temper tantrum. McCain has been itching for such a scenario for a long time, apparently.
Or Russia's ambassador is full of crap and we call his bluff........Which I suspect will be the case.
Russia has neither the money, the resources or an end game to get involved with the U.S., especially over a stinky country like Syria............Relax Paulie
Read 160 posts. No one is reading Ezekiel 38 and 39? This COULD be a very, very bad deal. I’m praying for no war but if so this is in God’s hands. He knows the end from the beginning.
Finally post #152 before someone figures it out. I wonder if Israel will be burning seven years of fuel after this if this is it.
“It doesn’t matter whose side we choose, they’re all murdering, filthy, sub human muzlims..”
/thats it!
First answer me this:
Russia has watched for half a Century as American DemoRat Jimmah Carter created, with American Taxpayer financing the pinnacle Terrorist cesspit that is Iran, from the tolerant Persian People, and the Anglophile Shah.
Then American DemoRats continue to bribe, payoff and coddle that same Iran ending with Obama's pallet loads of cash and an agreement to allow nuclear weapons and missiles to deliver them, without risking an American life to stop their Terrorism, while possessing the Military ability we have now pretty much that entire half Century.
Now we offer the teriffic deal that we won't kill several thousand Russians where they legally reside with that same Military ability, if they fix our dirty work by attacking another of their legal allies of half a Century?
I have mentioned a couple of times that God will determine the outcome of this and where the consequences will fall.
My thoughts earlier to a friend went something like this,"If Trump decides to do nothing then somewhere along the line we are as Sheba, Dedan and Tarshish asking why Rosh/Magog is taking a spoil. On the other hand if he does ratchet it up then Magog has no choice but come on down ,"...like hooks in their jaws.' It's all in God's hands now. We better pray long and hard on this one."
I see nothing good happening if we get involved, nothing at all except maybe we'll be spared allied with Israel?

I wouldn’t be so sure. Putin’s been busy beefing up Russia’s capabilities. The last thing you want to do is underestimate an enemy.
[ No one is reading Ezekiel 38 and 39? ]
Oh it’s definitely on my mind. I’m sure several others as well.
Ezekiel 38 is more possible here, than the end of the world, I think.
The Tribulation and the Great Tribulation must still occur.
>Why are we willing to gamble that the Russians wont use nukes over Syria?
>Why is Syria so damned important? Why arent you asking that question?
This. What’s in this for us? I’m not seeing an upside. I hope Trump isn’t thinking he has to be tough with Syria and Russia to fend off Mueller’s BS investigation. And what’s the deal with telegraphing that you’re gonna attack? I thought that was a dumb move when Obummer did it, and I’m not sure why it’s okay now other than Trump is doing it.
Iran is a threat to U.S. regardless of who started it. The current calculus is based on the current state of affairs, not on the past. Russia has done a lot of bad in the past as well. Is their invasion of the eastern bloc countries 70 years ago reason to stay belligerent with them? No. Neither does what may or may not have happened with regards to Jimmy Carter justify Russia’s current support for Iran. The message to Russia is simple. We don’t really care about Syria, but if you continue to support Iran, then we’ll make it an issue.
