Trump has been exuberant (look at his tweets) and feeling his oats the last two months as he has fired a few useless eaters like bullet head McMasters, and appointed some solid people like John Bolton and Mike Pompeo. Trump thinks he is on the way to nullifying Bob Mueller and his team of Democrat lawyers as he hires Victoria Toensing and Joe DeGenova.
