Thank you for your kind comment.
Yes, it was/is devastating because I always had an A triple plus relationship with my daughter growing up and until she married. I haven’t seen, talked to or communicated in any way with her husband since they were married coming up on 4 years ago.
It’s really strange. Nobody can figure it out given our amazingly close history. Money is involved as a factor. He is very wealthy. Oh well...............life goes on.
I’d love to offer my kid one of the things I enjoyed most. I had a Kenner “Millennium Falcon” Playset from Star Wars. I priced one recently (they’re not made anymore; it’s ebay time), and they’re going for more than $600 now if you can find them.
On the other hand, I hope to be buying a 5+ acre partially wooded/part-meadow property in a couple of years, which should provide adventures for years.
I remember bringing gifts to my niece and nephew one Christmas and floored by the room full of stuff donated by the daycare facility they attended.
Anyway, yeah, there's a world of stuff out there all competing for the attention of kids and their parent's money. Stuff that never occurred to me as a kid!
Sometimes, it may be the last place to have a desired item in stock and on the shelf. Then the difference between $25 and $13 doesn't seem so significantif it's exactly what you want, you can't get it anywhere else (or even at all for an item no longer made), and want it now.
True. But there is a lady in China who’s iPhone is now locked for the next 45 years for doing just that!
