A bump for a masterful summation. These names are all quite familiar now, but gathering this data before that is quite an accomplishment.

Two clearly felonious activities glitter within this pile of political dung: first, the incredible abuse of classified information and its leakage to the media; second, the deliberate abuse of the FISA system to effect a level of illicit surveillance that makes Watergate look like the amateur job it was. These are all legitimate grounds for criminal prosecution. Less easy to punish is the systemic contempt for the trust placed in these individuals by the American people and their abuse of position for purposes of what amounts to pure vanity. Not one of these fools would amount to anything at all were it not for that trust, which was just as systemically betrayed. Firing seems too mild a punishment, but we're lucky to see even that.
