Gen. Flynn is very smart. He was just naive about the dishonesty and conniving that characterizes too many prosecutors. He probably doesn’t understand that his attorney had no interest in solving his problem in an efficient manner. His attorney is milking him for as much money as possible.
The fact that no one has ever been prosecuted for the alleged crime he was charges with, and the widely recognized fact that the particular alleged crime is blatantly unconstitutional.
An honest attorney would have had the charges dismissed in short order.
One should never assume his attorney is doing what’s best for his client.
