Delta Airlines said Friday that they only sold 13 tickets under their group travel discount for the National Rifle Association.
The airline cut ties with the NRA last week in the wake of the Florida school shooting, prompting major outcry from gun owners and Georgia lawmakers, where Delta is based.
A Delta spokesperson told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the discount, which gave a price cut to members flying to their annual convention, was only used on 13 tickets.

I expect most people can get better prices off Orbitz, Expedia or even off their travel agents.
Doesn’t matter. They pissed off millions of customers.
Well, the loss of those 13 tickets just cost you 50 Million bucks.......
So why did they make a big deal that they were cancelling the discount? It did not help them now did it.
Still, I’ll bet you lost more than those 13 tickets in sales to your airline already.
Do the math....
Thats the whole point. Even most FReepers dont get it.
Delta is missing the point .....
So they are driving away business over 13 tickets? The key isn’t how many NRA members took advantage of the discount. Its how many customer who are sympathetic to the NRA, free speech, and or the 2nd Amendment. I’m personally no longer going to use my Skymiles Card and will be transitioning fully off of Delta if they don’t make things right. They had no reason to be baited into this fight and their claim that they are being neutral is a damn lie that not even the dumbest among us would believe. Neutral is to do nothing and treat all customers equally. While I support the right of them to discriminate how they will I certainly am alarmed that corporations are being used as an extension of radical left wing politics to suppress speech and intimidate.
Hope they lose a bunch of money over this virtue signaling stunt.
These companies were stupid to step into a heated political debate because of some leftists on social media. It's like Carbonite dropping its ads on Rush Limabaugh's show because of the #DumpRush thing after his comments about Sandra Fluke. How'd that work out? Oh, the CEO of Carbonite said it was a stupid mistake that hurt their business and regretted having done it.
Maybe these companies should grow a spine and commit to waiting one full month before announcing they're dropping this or banning sales of assault rifles or Confederate flags or whatever. These outcries never last long before the fickle American public moves on to the next fake outrage.
“Even most FReepers dont get it.”
Thank goodness you smart guys are here to explain it to us.

Delta Preparing to cave BUMP
What happened is some dummy ran the fact that all of a sudden their social media, email, call centers were being slammed by angry leftists. The problem is that there wasn’t saner heads at the top that said we need to take a deep breath and not do anything stupid. What Delta and United did was give their competitors who kept their mouths shut a beautiful windfall.
Precisely, my good FRiend.
Delta has gone out of it's way to insult us NRA members, and as they say...
"we know that you have choices when you select an airline.."
Yup, we have choices.
We should also encourage Atlanta to expand landing slots for competing airlines, or even better, build a competing/reliever airport (Hartsfield might just be a bit, um, "over-booked", might it not?)
.
Sweet job Georgia.....Delta’s virtue signaling cost the company 40 million dollars in tax credits. That’s how you teach these people not to go against the second:)
It cost them more than they will ever know. I never used the discount but I have flown Delta a bunch of times. I will try not to in the future.
