No we should not! We are supposed to be against govt telling, or dictating, what businesses should do. If Delta losses business because of their change in policy, then so be it. WE DON'T NEED GOVT MAKING BUSINESS DECISIONS, REGARDLESS OF WHAT SIDE OF THE FENCE THAT THEY MAY FALL.
Nope. It’s my Taxes he’s taking up for here. If Delta has their hand in my pocket they don’t get to spit in my face!
it is illegal it just was never prosecuted because the democrats condoled the justice department and key republicans Gave tacit approval for the persecution of the tea party.
Your analogy is not consistant. Delta is wanting the Georgia government to pass special legeslation so it can avoid sales tax. It is wholely appropriate for the legislature to push back when the airline wants to get political. Elections have consequences...finally republicans are leveling the playing field.
By the way....what happened to the IRS??
did you like it when the IRS was used to go after the Tea party. I did not.
What the heck do you think Delta and the rest of the corporate fascists are doing to the NRA?

Yep. This is how you win. Inflict pain and make it clear to these crony corporists that they will pay a heavy price for carrying the water of the Democratic Party.
Absolutely...these companies must realize while they have every right to take a political stand there will be a price to pay. They took this action because the gun grabbers convinced them they would pay a price if they dodn’t....we are just leveling the field. We will find out which side really has the power to make them pay!!!
These corporations naturally lean left. Their HR and legal departments are hot beds of leftists. Hopefully other large states like Texas will start fighting back against these thug leftist tactics
Normally I would agree with you. But not when it comes to an inalienable right. I expect government to intervene and submarine businesses or movements that seek to seek to reduce liberty.
they are not government agencies but private businesses and should be free to behave with in reason any way they want....I call it freedom of association. some businesses that don’t want to be participants of gay weddings. they should have every right not to provide services for this. the day that businesses and government are required to behave in the same way we will have arrived at fascism.... I want government to have the same rules for everyone and only treat businesses and people differently when a law is enacted not when the person who represents us sees something he does not like. of course it does not mean he cant vote in ways that are a detriment to a business type but it should not go after a individual business.
a good example of this unfair activity against businesses I hate is local cities going after Chick-fil-A. gay politicians and activists have used there positions in local government to go after this company. this is wrong and the same sort of thing that the governor is proposing
your right to a discount airline ticket is non-existent. Also, so address the taxation issue - that is pure blackmail and govt overreach. I hate the very idea of TIF's - it is nothing more than welfare for businesses.
Yes. And that’s why I not only don’t want things to go any more socialist than they already are, I want to pull back the socialism we already have in place.
Also, since “what’s good for the goose is good for the gander” I hate to see any government entity threatening a business over its support (or lack thereof) for certain private entities. I can picture the governor of California or New York threatening some conservative business-owner because he refuses to support Planned Parenthood or the United way.
As much as I personally would like to see Delta Airlines’ bottom-line suffer, I don’t think it is proper for that suffering to come at the hands of the government.
In what way did Delta Airlines act as government?
There are scads and scads of such “localization favors” going on all over the land.
This seems great until there’s a spat between interests.
