As Mara Liaison said last night on Bret Baier’s stupid show: this is why we can’t have armed guards in school!

As I recall we been down this path. It IS policy, IIRC, to wait for back up. This aint the first time.

Deputy Scot Peterson, who was armed with a handgun, did follow police procedure and immediately confront Cruz when he started his rampage killing 17 people with an AR-15 assault rifle, according to the Broward County Sheriff's department. Instead he took cover at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School for upwards of four minutes and 'never went in 'so did he follow procedure or did he instead take cover?

No police officer anywhere in America has an obligation to save anyone. Per the US supreme court. This is why Americans need full restoration of 2nd A rights nationwide. Only you can protect yourself.

There’s a push behind the scenes from some Republicans to raise the legal minimum age for possession of rifles and shotguns to 21. The President has stated his intention to do the same. It needs to be stopped by us with messages and calls to members of Congress along with support for Second Amendment organizations.
Raising that minimum age would drive many more young people to oppose the President and to vote against Republicans in Congress. Let’s get going on it.

This sheriff has been dishonest from the beginning.....being this deputy’s
Boss he knew exactly what happened...
But now we hear about him hiding?...it took a week for this sheriff to come clean....that’s why we’ll never hear the dispatcher’s communications....the stuff just keeps dribbling out....20 min.delay? Why?

After Columbine and VaTech, it was more or less held that first responders would wait for tactical units. As these incidents began to happen more and more, the training doctrine has changed.
The DHS doctrine, which is pretty much the same as everyone else’s is:
If you hear gunfire, you make entry, locate and confront the threat. Alone if you have to. You do not wait.
If you do not hear gunfire, you wait for the first back up officer and the two of you make entry and do what you can, communicating with others on the way.

He should be charged with the felony charges of impersonating a police officer. The woman in GA was charged with getting free Chick-fil-a impersonating a police officer. This guy was under oath.

This perfectly illustrates why we need high capacity magazines as well. If you find yourself in that deputie's position, facing a madman with an AR15 and large quantities of ammo and possibly a bullet proof vest, you need some kind of an advantage.
I'm not saying it couldn't be dealt with in 6 rounds but nobody in that situation is going to be thinking to themselves "I sure do wish I had a few less rounds in my magazine".

"Deputy Scot Peterson, who was armed with a handgun, did follow police procedure and immediately confront Cruz"
that's a lie, or a dally mail fluff. too bad they can't afford a proof reader.

When I watch “Blue Bloods” on the tube and Tom Selleck, the Police Commissioner, always says that Police always run toward the shooting and not away from it. That School Cop disgraced himself and his uniform. He’s going to have to carry around his Coward’s Moniker forever?
