Exactly where is his home state? His father was from Michigan, Mitt was governor of Massachusetts, and now he’s running for Senate in Utah. I guess carpetbagging is the norm nowadays.
Dick Cheney owned homes in Virginia, Texas and Wyoming. He changed legal residence almost overnight from Texas to Wyoming when he agreed to be GW Bush’ VP. It withstood a court challenge.
The king is dead. Long live the king.
All he has to do is put his name on the ballot, and UT people will come out in droves to elect him.
I am beginning to think that the Mormon church is like Mormons Inc. It seems to me that it is all about the money. Even though the Mormons are supposed to be social conservatives Mormon bankers built “sin city” Las Vegas.
I haven’t seen him here in Massachusetts since he ran for president.
Please Utah voters..........don’t send a liberal Demonrat to the Senate by the name of Mitt Romney. Give us a Conservative for a change.
The fricken RNC better not spend a nickel on this douche
Hell fire, the Turtle will. Mittens is a Trump hater and will do the bidding of the Turtle...........Lord help us.
Yep. You called it. I’d think they would be tired of their stock falling while shackled to that dolt, however. Public image is almost everything to them, after assets.
I don’t know how many he has, but he has spent a lot of time in his La Jolla house in recent years.
A Mormon isn’t nearly as concerned about his stock falling as he is of losing his coveted position in the third heaven and missing out on becoming a bonafide Mormon god. A lot of good it will do them in the lake of fire, but they persist in their empty hopes.
Fair points. I forget that the lower tiers of the pyramid actually buy that fever dream.
the only thing about this that could have been partially satisfying about this would be if Reid were still in there given the intentional admitted lies he was telling “Mitt Romney didn’t win, did he?” But since Reid is no longer there, there is nothing to be happy about.
The main thing is that we must gain other seats so he has less influence. If the majority is bare-bones, he would basically control the Senate with his vote - if we gain several other seats (like MO, ND, WV, IN, MI, etc.), his role is diminished.
They won’t need to - he’ll probably get like 80% of the vote.
Best to just ignore him and try win to other seats.
Loved reading this....
Utah GOP Passes New Rule That Could Eject Romney From Ballot
.....a hard-right faction within the states Republican Party has taken a drastic step that could derail him.
Over the weekend, the faction passed a bylaw that allows Utah Republicans to expel any candidate that qualifies for the ballot via signatures the route Romney plans to take.....
.....
....On Saturday, they passed one dictating that to get on the ballot, Republicans must follow the states current nomination laws, which dont currently allow signature-gathering as an option.
And, the new bylaw says, if a candidate does follow that route to the ballot, they immediately lose their membership....
Well allrighty then..........thanks Jane.......;)
