In the July letter there's 14 questions Goodlatte and the HJC would like to have investigated; #10 is very interesting:
"10) Post-election accusations by the President that he was wiretapped by the previous Administration, and whether Mr Comey and Ms Lynch had any knowledge of efforts made by any federal agency to unlawfully monitor communications of then-candidate Trump or his associates"
What do you suppose IG Horowitz might be doing with that...
Given that Horowitz is cited and praised by everybody in Congress, including the likes of Senator Collins, I presume the matter is being whitewashed.
A good whitewash requires an investigation.
But seriously, I hope Horowitz is undertaking a serious investigation. I can picture his report meeting the same stonewall that the House Intelligence Committee is meeting.
I wonder if these FBI complaints are like the EPA greenhouse gas documents that the organization wrote, but no one within the organization wrote any part of it. It just appeared.
I read someplace today that Horowitz is primarily focused on Clinton email stuff. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if he didn’t dig that deep on FISA issues and systemic FBI corruption of the election. We are getting scammed by his slow walked investigation, IMO.

Most likely nothing. Seems the third rail has been identified (FBI meddling in the election) and there is no evidence Horowitz is prepared to touch it.

Wishful thinking. Horowitz isn’t going to drop any nukes. Look how easily the Dems flipped Rosenstein, Roberts, etc. Horowitz knows he beltway career and social life are over if he supports POTUS. So, that won’t be happening.
In other words you don’t know the slightest thing about Horowitz but still think you should post about him.

Holding your breath in hopes a beltway careerist Horowitz will deliver will only end in tears. Given the length of his investigation and the lack of interim reports on things like FBI stonewalling, I’m quite confident there will be no nukes deployed by Horowitz.

Yep. If we learned anything from the Obama years is don’t count on the Deep State to support America. I realize we need to keep morale up but day dreaming that the DOJ IG will ride to the rescue is foolish, IMO. We’ve seen this movie before. It has a bad ending.

Have used that rule many times during my 24 years in AF and 15 years as DoD Civilian - this is a bit different though since so much has been put out in public as propaganda which undermines the President and the FBI - w/o aggressive clarification to the public, the FBI is just an oppressive offensive entity to be feared rather than to be trusted.
