I will tell you something.... lots of Somali parents come to the local food shelf and to the Toy for Tots distribution centers. This, despite Christmas being a Christian holiday and they are Muslims. I have often wondered about that - but is if something is free, they are sure to come.

Before the rise of radical Islam since the end of the Cold War, Christmas had something of a following in some Muslim countries, as Jesus figures in Islamic stories too.

I know Pakistan had noticeable Christmas celebrations in the 1970s.

On the plus side, the malls should be safer this year and retail theft will be way down.
