How to disable the service manually.

1. Press Windows key + R key shortcut to bring up the Run box. Alternatively, you can right-click on the Windows button and click on “Run”.
2. Type in “services.msc” and hit Enter or click “OK”.
3. Look for the HP Touchpoint Analytics in the list that shows up. There are LOTS of services running, just keep scrolling until you find it.
4. When you find it, right-click on it and select “Stop”.
5. Then right-click on the entry and find “Properties”. In the middle of the General tab, you will see “Startup type”. Change the selection from Automatic to “Disabled”.

My HP had the startup type as Automatic (Delayed).

I had noticed lots of stalls during the day, which I just couldn't attribute to anything. Just turning it off has made the system seem much faster.

I have an old but fast system I bought when I left InFocus nearly 8 years ago. I just can't justify an upgrade yet.
