When a brother is accused by a proven and chronic liar of a crime, we do not shun that brother.
When a brother is a young man and seeking a virtuous wife, we do not shun him for courting women of marriageable age.
This is what gets me it has nothing to do with hypocrisy. We know that even if the worst of these allegations are true that amounts to practically nothing. And even if the worst of these allegations are true there’s been nothing in the last 40 years to indicate that this is anything that is part of his character. In other words if they’re accusing him of anything he has long since repented of it and that is a Christian standard to forgive.
How about the Commandant "Thou Shalt Not Bear False Witness Against Thy Neighbor" !
This is not difficult to understand. To begin with we don’t know for sure what the truth is about 40 years ago. 2). It was 40 years ago and people change. Especially if God works in their life. 3). As a judge he represented christian values as far as we can tell, as well as anyone in this country. 4). In the bible God used flawed people exclusively. (Except his son). Everyone he used was flawed. Many of them DEEPLY flawed. We’re not looking for a perfect person because there are none. We’re looking for someone in every election who will allow God to use them to help bring this country back from the precipus. It is that simple.

It is pretty simple for me. There is nothing immoral about dating a woman above the age of consent, and I think the two accusers who claim he pushed them to engage in sexual activities underage are lying.
Why? Because the underage accusations don’t match the behavior described by the older girls, and because a pedophile doesn’t just stop being a pedophile. If he had been a pedophile 40 years ago, he would still be acting as one. Thus...the accusers are lying.
That, plus I reject the “right” of ANYONE to make an accusation 40 years after the alleged deed. Such accusations are impossible to defend against, no matter how innocent the accused may be.
Second, in Christianity, we have the concept of REPENTANCE. Not saying I was, but if I was a philandering Ted-Kennedy-type scum 40 years ago, but turned my life around and lived a righteous life since that, that counts for something to Christendom, and to the Lord Jesus Christ.
So sick of these Progressives trying to tell me what MY religion entails.
