It shows the cop telling Graysmith that Allen was exonerated by the evidence. The actor playing Allen in the film has said that he didn’t think Allen was the killer at the time the film was being made.

Too bad History Channel can't get back to showing historical documentaries along with Forged in Fire. The rest of its programming, it could dump and few would miss it.
There is a huge site called The_Donald, on Reddit, and afaik, that is where the Cruz-Zodiac Killer meme/joke started. I have no idea what got them going on it. Some of the memes they’ve come up with really are hilarious. You will be pleased to hear that recently they’ve started to switch over, and identify Bernie Sanders as the Zodiac Killer.
