What law guards the public against sudden emotional or mental derangement? Whatever form that law may take, it would have little or nothing to do with side arms, but a LOT to do with civil liberties.

Which of the civil liberties do you want to take away? Privacy? Quiet enjoyment of property? Speech? Religion? The right to freely meet in the public square? How about just about everything in the Bill of Rights? Has that now become “the Bill of Frights”?

What I find strange is that civilians in Canada have been prohibited from owning fully automatic firearms since 1978 (through grandfathering), but yet since then, people still have been able to go to the movie theatres to watch ones like Arnold and Sylvester cut up people using such firearms.
