Good point. Churchill was hated by many in the UK before and during his time as Prime Minister. However, he never wavered; was completely confidant in his convictions, and was the epitome of good leadership.

John McCain is a pus-filled boil on the ass of history.

I thought he looked and sounded normal for McCain. I didn’t see any debilitating effect of a fight against cancer.

McCain has always seemed unhinged, so it's hard to tell how much of it is due to the brain tumor vs. how much is just McCain being McCain.

McCain's idea of leadership is doing his best to ingratiate himself to liberal Democrats as often as possible.

At least he's consistent - his whole career over the past 20+ years has been one of attacking nationalists and patriots in order to win the approval of the liberal establishment. Playing this game mostly worked for him, except when he ran against Obama in 2008 when his liberal friends dropped him like a hot potato.
