It sounds like we have imbeciles and idiots running our public schools today.
some kids look like they have Halloween costumes on all year
We should not encourage children to participate in a satanic celebration.
I went to school in the 60s. We never had Halloween costumes or parties at school. We were too busy being miserable with the multiplication tables.
Kids who can’t afford a costume can dress up as hobos.
They are worried about those that can’t afford to buy a costume.
Who buys costumes for young kids?
We always made our own-——not always great but they worked.
.
My guess is because the kids left out were wearing burquas.
We want to be inclusive of all families including those families who dont celebrate Halloween......”

Using that logic, there will be no holiday celebrations or observances since not everyone observes every holiday.
At least they wont be collecting for UNICEF.
For YEARS we have been assaulted with the inclusion clause to the detriment of The Constitution and our American fabric.
THIS school has used it to not offend the non practitioners of Hallowe'en.
Get it ?
I think it's a BRILLIANT tactic and worthy of further thought.
Free Halloween costumes for every child! It is a Right!

We know that for a fact!
As my kids have said, “Poor people mess everything up”. Let me explain: there use to be field trips. Wonderful field trips to battlefields, aquariums, and historic sites. No more. Why? Because the PTA couldn’t afford to give “scholarships” to the poor kids. If school X had a field trip then all the other schools in the county had to have a similar one (therefore, the “middle class” schools couldn’t go because the ratchet schools couldn’t afford it). Thus, this district’s school is now eliminating an event that all the kids looked forward to because some parents are too lazy to make one or purchase a used one.
I am not a big fan of halloween,
But I despise political correctness more!
Bring on the hobgoblins!
Yes....I don’t think I ever wore a purchased costume. Mom made me a hobo so often that I really enjoy heating a can of beans and eating them right out of the can.
or find purchasing a costume a hardship,
What nonsense! I remember my first Halloween in 1953! All I had was a fake mustache. Mom cut wrapped and pinned a white sheet around me, and dad let me put on his oversized Stetson hat. Just went to one or two houses, but had a great time.
How dare they distract people with the distraction of wearing costumes from their fall festival...?
I don’t even know what a fall festival is - or a fall festival parade? Is that some tradition in Wisconsin?
How about this: How about the school drops all the silly mini festivals and parades and does that thing - not sure what it’s called anymore. It’s what supposed to happen during that time from when the kid arrives at school and when they leave..
EDUCATION, that’s the word I was searching for. And when they’re done with their school day where they study and learn they can go home and do whatever their family chooses to do.
Gee our school went to “ story book day” so the kids could have fun dressing up
Some classes made their own costumes to tie into their reading lessons
What a shame pious uncreative adults are intimidated by snowflakes
