He couldn't say anything to me in that regard because I'm not in the business. But if one was a producer all he has to say is "You hire that actress and I'll never work with you and I'll pressure all my business friends never to work with you". I'd say that would get it done.
I want to be sure I understand.
If Weinstein called you, and he told you that some actress or female director had sexually rejected him, and then Weinstein said, “Miss M., I demand that you and/or your company blackball that woman,” you are so weak, and so frightened, that you would obey Weinstein?
So, all Weinstein’s business friends are as weak as you are?

If Weinstein called me, I'd say, “Hey, fat boy, as soon as you hang up, I'm calling Variety and Hollywood Reporter and telling them exactly what you said to me.”

It’s a matter of keeping what you’ve got. If you have enough power and money, you want to keep it. If Weinstein can threaten all that, of course people are going to obey him. It was the same under the old system with Darryl Zanuck, Louie B. Mayer, Harry Cohn. Harry Cohn made Marilyn’s life a living hell. Nothing ever changes in that town.

The two women who ignited this anti-Weinstein press riot are a third tier unknown actress and a third tier unknown female director. Apparently they were not afraid.
And how about those four women who forced Weinstein into confidential settlements? Are you claiming that Weinstein destroyed their careers after paying them, and they were too frightened to file new lawsuits?
Are you saying this because you have power and money, and because you would make cringing moral compromises to Weinstein to keep it?

Those two women came out after Weinstein was outed. And tell me what work the woman who sued Weinstein ever got again. Weinstein has been buying off prosecutors and the media for 30 years - that’s why so many women kept their mouths shut . Actresses like Streep, Jolie and Paltrow. Even A list celebs like those were afraid to speak out until he got fired.
