I am sure that I did not agree 100 percent with those we helped, or even with the others from Samaritan’s Purse that were helping, but that’s not why we were there. There were individuals whose whole life was piled out by the road soaked/destroyed by the storm surge or the never ending rains. Can you imagine losing everything?
You help because it is the right thing to do, you are compassionate because that is what Jesus Christ taught, and His church teaches today.
We waited our whole adult lives to be able to pick up and go at the drop of a hat, jobs, vacation schedules, meeting plans are no longer an issue. After taking a few days to rv with the elk east of here we are off to the rebuild east of Baton Rouge after last year’s floods. Bored at home? Y’all come join us. You will never regret it.

Your statement is vile, there are many salt of the earth middle class people there including the relatives who called me at 0300 to ask if they could evacuate to our house since their home is in danger. I personally know of seven people from the area who were at the Las Vegas concert last week one of whom was shot. I pray that you are never in danger and see the callousness of people.
