As an Army Captain to another Army Captain: What the hell is your malfunction, jackass?

As a former 2nd Ranger Bn guy, I ask the same question. Was proud when he stood alone, disgusted with his apology. I do however wonder what they threatened him with to get him to issue an apology.

I think everybody is getting this wrong. He said in the press conference that he will ALWAYS stand for the National Anthem. What he regrets is the way it played out. He team was supposed to be right behind him in the tunnel. He was not trying to be a hero.

Still disappointed with his apology, as he had nothing to apologize for. He served in a 1st Ranger Bn, and should know better. A little clarification, here is the 6th stanza of the Ranger Creed:

Readily will I display the intestinal fortitude required to fight on to the Ranger objective and complete the mission, though I be the lone survivor.

I know he was under pressure to apologize, but in my eyes, he lacked the intestinal fortitude to fight on; I'm disappointed in that.
