Donald J. Trump Verified Account
@realDonaldTrump
3 Republicans and 48 Democrats let the American people down. As I said from the beginning, let ObamaCare implode, then deal. Watch!

This spite vote by McCain makes way for Pres Trump to take action now on fixing things like Obamacare himself. And the Republican party should finally realize that they are running out of time to get behind Pres Trump and help him as much as he is helping the party. If the globalists and Uniparty Republicans continue to sabotage Pres Trump, and they succeed in their obstruction of his agenda, there will be no need to continue the two party system, such as it is now. Republican voters who support Pres Trump will not fall in line with the traitors on future elections, starting in 2018. No further need for useless bodies in the congress.
I picture McCain like Khan at the end of The Wrath of Khan, as he’s dying....”From hell’s heart, I stab at thee. For hate’s sake, I spit my last breath at thee.”
It is a travesty against the American people that they have been exempted from the pain of this from the start. Do we need a better example of how we are being treated by the Swamp Dwellers? President Trump needs to take whatever action he can on this immediately. What other laws have they made for us that they do not live under themselves? How about those ridiculously generous retirements after only a couple of years of service, paid for by taxpayers? Talk about thievery! Look no further for charlatan examples and President Trump ran to expose these things. That is one reason he is so hated by career politicians on both sides. Those things scream to be exposed.
Wouldn’t do a thing. They are getting paid off hugely by insurance companies and pharmaceutical companies that are raising their rates and prices every day.
Hmmm, this has me thinking outside the box. Remember, Obama was the king of not enforcing laws he didn’t like, such as immigration. Hmmm. How about announcing, through executive order, that huge parts of Obamacare will not be enforced. Figure out which parts are susceptible to that.
Next, announce that you will pardon any violation of the individual mandate or employer mandate, and that individuals and employees therefore don’t have to follow that part. He can do executive orders, but then those people might be subject to penalties under a new administration. So they need pardons. Like the huge pardon that Carter gave traitors who refused to serve in Vietnam.
That will accomplish more than the skinny repeal would have.
Then, go out and campaign like crazy against the rinos running in 2018. Set up your own people, good ones that can be elected, not fringe types, and give them money to run in primaries.
...”When I was young, one of the things drummed into me about the superiority of America vis-a-vis the USSR was that we had a responsive government, and that everyone was subject to the same laws. In contrast, in the USSR the apparatchiks and the nomenklatura got special treatment in all things, including living arrangements and medical care. Special stores, special hospitalsall for the governing class.
Are we here so different now?”...
We are no different. Thanks for pointing this out. I, too, remember.
And have HHS Tom Price rescind some of those waivers Kathleen Sebielus and Obama passed out like candy @ Halloween.
I have heard that big Pharma assigns 2 lobbyists to every Congressman.
Trump should make Senate vote on separate bills, one by one to show American people where they stand. Separate for:
Taxes
Mandates
Cruz Amendment to let us buy outside Ocare
etc.
If this is possible, Trump should have done this yesterday. (and by "yesterday", I mean metaphorically, as soon as possible.)
Yes, ignite a fire storm that will fry the @$$holes in Congress.
Trump should end congressional exemption from ObamaCare 03/30/17
After heavy lobbying by leaders of both parties on both sides of the Capitol dome, President Obama came to their rescue. He directed the Office of Personnel Management to issue a rule now codified as 78 Fed. Reg. 60653-01 declaring Congress itself a small business (!), the necessary subterfuge to set them up for the kicker: Because Congress was deemed a small business, the DC Health Link Small Business Market administered by the DC Health Benefit Exchange Authority is the appropriate SHOP from which Members of Congress and designated congressional staff will purchase health insurance in order to receive a Government contribution.
Repeal Congress special exemption from Obamacare, kill two birds with one stone November 23, 2016
The good news is, President Trump wont have to wait for congressional action on this he can undo the illegal ruling by simply signing his name to a Presidential Memorandum directing the OPM to reverse its 2013 rule considering Congress a small business, which directed that, consequently, the DC Health Link Small Business Market administered by the DC Health Benefit Exchange Authority, is the appropriate SHOP from which Members of Congress and designated congressional staff will purchase health insurance in order to receive a Government contribution.
OFFICE OF PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT
5 CFR Part 890
RIN 3206AM85
Federal Employees Health Benefits Program: Members of Congress and Congressional Staff
§ 890.101 Definitions; time computations.
SHOP has the meaning given in 45 CFR 155.20.
Title 45 - Public Welfare
Federally-facilitated SHOP means a Small Business Health Options Program established and operated within a State by the Secretary under section 1321(c)(1) of the Affordable Care Act.
Ironic that it's under "Public" Welfare.
Waiting, for what?
Thank you for those important details. Many people had been questioning whether or not Trump had the authority to act unilaterally.
John Fund was on the WSJ editorial board until 2001, and had a column there until 2011.
++++
Yes! One the few actual Good Guys that we have on our side.
While $174K a year is a nice salary, given the cost of living in DC and environs it is puzzling that long time congressmen and senators can retire multi-millionaires. How about some investigations on THAT?
Agreed.
