This is totally normal. The continetal ice pushes its way to the ocean because of 10 thousand feet deep ice behind it. It is no longer a glacier but the floating extension of ice from the glacier that is no longer on the continent of Antarctica.
A floating glacier is not stable and will and always will break off and float out to sea.
I’m not concerned for us cause our house sits at 5,200 ft in elevation but I worry about the coastal residents. NOT! ;-)
