I can't help but wonder how soon until the rest of the fast food restaurants follow this trend.
Although I don't think this will be limited to fast food industry. I am sure we will see it across many industries.

Most are actually ahead of McDonalds, in that they have converted their kitchens to automation, but keep the superior human connection at the ordering point.
McDonalds will fail completely if they don’t figure this out soon.
Intelligent people do not willingly communicate with stupid machines.

McDonalds and others are already using this technology in China, at least what we saw last year in Beijing and Shanghai, so this should be no surprise for the foolish progressives.
Of course, now I can see them passing laws prohibiting automation or requiring people to be paid if if they aren’t working.

They don’t work. I just tried on. A big line had me go to the kiosk thinking my very simple order would be ready sooner. Wrong!
The line was cleared before I could get through all the options on the kiosk. It will be rejected by the customers.

I was a two time a week McDonald’s customer but stopped last week over their Sodomy Fries.

In S. CA, if the Angels hot a HR during a Home Game, you get an Artisan Sandwich (Beef or Chicken) for FREE with any purchase. They have been hitting a bunch of HR’s.
I order a $1 Coke and I walk out with a Grilled Chicken Sandwich with Guacamole on an Artisan Roll (Menu Price over $5) for $1.08 including the Sales Tax.

McD’s has pretty much lost me forever. If I was dying of starvation and nothing else was around i might get some food there.
