They clearly didn’t listen to what he said- answering a question about Spec. Counsel Mueller talking with him under oath. THAT was what he said he would 100% be willing to do and say exactly what he just told the reporter.
He did NOT say he would go and sit in front of House or Senate people (judiciary and otherwise) like some form of “made up” neo-impeachment hearing of “he said, she said, he said”.
Executive privilege would apply to such an request. It will not happen.
Congress has no jurisdiction to call the president to a hearing. None. They could subpoena him till the cows come home.
OTOH, Trump could order a nuclear strike.

Why don’t they subpoena Comey? The Judiciary Cmte has direct oversight authority over the FBI, they have the right and duty to understand the actions of the former director.
