Could you provide some links or info on where something like this might be? I’ve checked all the articles on Free Republic about this topic and found only Melania’s statement that the photo was disgusting and essentially questioning Griffin’s sanity (that part was great).
I couldn’t find anything with Melania, Trump, or anyone verifying this gossip magazine’s story that Barron (an 11-year-old not a 5-year-old after all) actually believed the fake rubber head was his father’s head. Trump of course noted that Barron and his other children were (very understandably) disturbed by this, but he didn’t say anything like what this story claims. Even the magazine itself only lists an anonymous source.
To say, he thought it was real is a judgement call that's not really necessary, though.
Maybe he saw it, didn't know what it was, and got worried.
My oldest daughter just turned 11. If she knew that people constantly threatened to kill me, and she saw on TV someone holding what appeared to be my severed head, her initial reaction would be to fear the worst and call for her mom. I’m sure that she’d soon realize that that couldn’t be real, but for those first few seconds she’d be in distress. And that would be true even though I’m not living in DC while she’s in NYC so she would have seen me in person that morning.

Barron Trump was watching television Tuesday at home with Melania when Kathy Griffin's photo appeared on the screen, and his initial reaction was that something terrible happened to his father.
Trump family sources tell us Barron was in front of the TV watching a show when the news came on and he saw the bloody, beheaded image.
We're told he panicked and screamed, "Mommy, Mommy!" As it was put to us, "He's 11. He doesn't know who Kathy Griffin is and the head she was holding resembled his dad."
President Trump blasted Griffin for posing with the head, saying, Barron was having a hard time dealing with it.

She knew exactly what she was doing. That “non-apology” was a joke. I hope the SS gets in her face but good and she loses the bulk of her $$$ defending herself. And now I read that Al Franken still wants to appear with her to promote his book???? I had no idea he could write let alone spell words.

I was wrong. I misread what Melania said in other articles. She only said it was disgusting etc., nothing about Barron seeing it while watching TV.
OK. No problem. I thought I would have seen that if she had. I just think everyone here shouldn’t be so eager to believe everything in a gossip site’s article without proper sources. At any rate, this sort of detail seems like a violation of privacy, even if TMZ didn’t embellish the story. It’s bad enough that Barron and Trump’s other children were disturbed by the photo. Griffin should be ashamed of herself; but given her normal behavior I really doubt that will ever happen.

The government cannot put you in jail for expressing your first amendment rights. That’s why this whole nonsense about the Secret Service and prosecution is just that. Nonsense.
But your employers or potential employers and the public have their own free-speech rights to not associate with you and fire you. It’s their First Amendment right.
