The primaries are over and we chose poorly.
I supported Cruz and he would have been a far better president. Still, I support Trump, when he does the right thing. I call out the media, when it is lying. And I oppose any Republican or conservative doing the wrong thing.

Too bad your premise is wrong. Facts are important to conservatives

So, do you have any reference about Trump donating to Rubio? That is one I've never heard before.
Sessions would have backed down after the first liberal yelled at him. Look at how quickly he recused himself from stuff he didn't even touch.
Cruz only got as far as he did by drafting behind Trump, whom he seemed to admire. That Cruz, the anointed debater, lost to Trump, shows how terrible Cruz really was.
Really, only Trump could do the work before us.
Do note that my wife and I donated a fair amount of money to Ted, shortly after he announced. He was destined to be the best choice, until Trump.

How could he possibly be a natural born Citizen?
BTW.... Neither was Rubio or Jindal, as their parents were all foreign nationals at the time of their birth.

So a better choice would have been Cruz losing?
After all, he fell to pieces when Trump responded to his attack on his wife.

Conservatives are, or should be, driven by principle. Accordingly, we should neither be Never Trump nor Ever Trump. When conservatives make policy based criticisms of any public official, that is what we’re supposed to do, whether that official is Bush, 0bama, Trump, or whoever.

Cruz never attacked Trump's wife and he didn't fall apart.
Trump was given the nomination by ove ra billion dollars of free media and non-Republicans voting in the GOP primary. Trump lost the popular vote badly, and won the electoral collage thanks to less than 100,000 votes, despite running against Hillary Clinton. The idea that Cruz would have lost is amusing counter-history

Natural Born bothers me. But a citizen born to an American father overseas has been deemed “natural born” since the Naturalization Act of 1790. The idea that this would not apply to son of an American woman, when women have full rights now, is stretching it.

These ‘fake’ conservatives are talking about their own personal ‘principal’ when they lecture US about principles...
To: rmlew
Actually, the ‘Naturalization Act of 1790’ had nothing to do with what ‘creates’ a ‘natural born’ US citizen... And if you were paying attention to the Harvard Law Schooled wiz, when he answered the debate question about his eligibility, you would know, he knows that he is not nor will he ever be a ‘natural born’ US citizen.
‘Natural born’ US citizenship is akin to a birthright... you do know about ‘birthrights’? That clause is what was to protect US from ineligible characters like Obama... but, the uniparty, sure did not want to appear ‘racist’ and allowed 8 years of transforming this nation.

I remember the picture. Cruz tried the old trick of going through a well-connected third party to get it out (someone he was real close to). No on that follows politics, for a moment, that he had nothing to do with it.
He deserved Trump’s response.
