It seems like every American President is required to kiss the ring of the Saudis and give some variation of "Islam is the religion of peace" speech.
I would agree that there is a difference between Islam and Islamism, and that the US ought to keep up good relations with Muslim countries that have (comparatively) secular governments, such as Jordan under King Abdullah or Egypt under Al-Sisi. The problem is, Saudi Arabia is not such a country - it is every bit as Islamist as Iran, and the clerics there have as much if not more power than in Iran.
President Trump needs to be reminded that to a true-to-the-Qur'an Muslim THERE ARE NO INNOCENT INFIDELS.
