> it can’t be repealed without ushering in huge Democratic majorities in the House and the Senate.

These people who oppose freedom

I don't think that Obamacare Lite, version 2.0, represents "freedom" in any useful sense of the word.

Well all we heard during 2015 and 2016 was that Trump is the master dealmaker.

He could make winning deals even with our enemies.

Deals, deals, deals.

So either

(1) Trump sees this as a winning deal, or

(2) This is the best deal Trump is capable of making.

We've been happy winning so much, someone thinks we need to start losing until we get happy again.

Obamacare did not go as far as the Demon Rats wanted. There was always a second wave planned. The movement against it will not go as far as we want. Initially, we have to get what we can, show the people the benefits, and plan for a second wave.

Old saying that is still true: Politics is the art of the possible.

I definitely read that in comment after comment HERE.
Check out this classic post here FR:

Donald J. Trump: “I want to win for the people of this great country. The only people I will owe are the voters. The media, special interests, and lobbyists are all trying to stop me. We won't let that happen!”

Repeal? Why do they keep using that lie?

Because it sounds better than ObamaCare preservation act.

Now thats an executive order I’d like to see, if its possible to do it....

The ObamaCare itself required that but Obama issued an executive order that exempted Congress and their staff.

So either

(1) Trump sees this as a winning deal, or

(2) This is the best deal Trump is capable of making.

or (3) He doesn't care. Trump wants a deal. Deal is all he cares about. It doesn't matter what it is a deal on or what the particulars are, he wants a deal he can sign and which will give him a sense of winning.

But it’s coming, because it’s what the voters, bless their pointy little heads, want.

Truth is Stranger than Facts.

Democrats will vote for the bill to negate the conservatives not voting for the bill.

I think that Trump will sign a single payer health care bill before the 2018 midterms.

Rep. Elise Stefanik (New York)

One of the youngest females elected to the house from upstate NY, should be an easy vote to support Trump, BUT.... What's wrong with these people, no backbone, no beliefs, no leadership.

RE:”I think that Trump will sign a single payer health care bill before the 2018 midterms.”

That would solve the pre-existing issues problem.

This is the internal genius of Obamacare.

It moved the goalposts completely on healthcare in this country forever.

By eliminating pre-existing denials, eliminating lifetime caps, and allowing children to stay on their parent’s policies deep into adulthood, it eliminated the three fears that voters had regarding health insurance:

1. What if I can’t get covered?
2. What if I exceed my coverage?
3. What if my child gets sick before he has coverage?

Those are the new expectations of any healthcare law going forward. And President Trump has embraced them.

Now, tell me how to pay for those three things?

Not quite eliminated them because while it mandates we (not on medicaid or subsidies) pay for stuff we cant use or don't want it results in high deductibles, which is like having no coverage in many cases.

But it it did set expectations and Trump promised to come up with something better, which Americans take as cheaper with better benefits.
