My son is on the Nimitz, thank you very much. His ship is in port right now and will deploy some time in June. Couldn’t be civil could you what a Snarky reply.
“Couldnt be civil could you what a Snarky reply.”
I thank your son for his service and understand your concern but I took the time to cut and paste the important information from the article so anybody could read it quickly...I even highlighted the two carrier groups. Too many people don’t even bother to read the article summary before commenting.
JS IZUMO
Too bad Japan wasn't allowed to keep their subs. Their I-400 class subs were 390 feet long, longer than the largest American subs of WWII. Similar in concept to the helo carriers, the I-400 submarines carried three war planes inside and could surface to launch them and inflict damage to an enemy. They were all captured intact after surrender by the USA, and sunk by torpedoes after being inspected by the USA. Some were sunk off Hawaii to keep them from Russian eyes. For this reason, they were all destroyed to keep the Russians from getting the technology.
Please thank your son for his service and tell him we all support and appreciate him and his ship mates.
Right on all points. Thanks.
Japan has 6 ships in two variants of the Arleigh Burke class. While they have 96 VLS tubes, Japan has no Tomahawk missiles.
Thanks same to you!
