Au Revoir!
Ms. Le Pen received a massive 38 per cent of the vote in the small town located in the Pas-de-Calais region, a Front National stronghold.
...
I’ve read that the people outside Paris are quite different than the crazy leftists inside Paris.
I think it’s fairly obvious now that the Pro-Immigration crowd are being paid off.
Delomez said that he intends to present his resignation after discussing the matter with his political group in the local council on Tuesday. Im 70 years old, Ive been a mayor for nine years, Im a little blasé, he said.
Looks like he'll resign tomorrow, and that he's past retirement age, so no financial loss to him.
Self deportation works again!
“Wait a minute! Did he did or did he not quit?”
He’s just like all the Commie actors here who made big threats to leave the country if Trump were elected. But here, the citizens who elected him mayor, can, unlike the a$$hole actors, actually be kicked out of his job.
Paris is actually the base of the FN’s support. It’s where their early supporters were mostly from because it’s the part of France with the most immigration. The FN does poorly in rural areas where there is little immigration.
Only to point this out, but the top two political parties of France for the past 50 years...together...only got around 25-percent of the vote.
An upstate new party (the Progressive Party) took the majority of the votes that the Socialist Party would have normally gotten (going to Macron).
There’s some debate on what happens with the Socialist Party in the legislative election and if they’ve been permanently damaged.
"Upstate?" As in "upstate NY?"
Or "upstart?"
Reminds me of the joke: "What do you call a left-wing mayor who resigns because his town voted overwhelmingly right?" Answer: "A good start."
Regards,
A Frenchman throwing up his hands and quitting.
And the part of this that makes in newsworthy was what again?
If he actually steps down this would be GREAT NEWS!
What’s the French word for “arsehole”? Curious minds are curious.
First my translator refused to translate because it was a “secure web page.” Then I copied “a des canards” and found that he refused to live among the ducks.
Could it be that the British writer slightly exaggerated what was said, or do the French think that living among the ducks is gay?
Hope he doesn’t draw water from the town spring.
A French snowflake...I wonder: if LePen wins, will women wear pussy hats to protest her?
Calling a taxpayer-funded job dedicating your life to others, totally predictable libspeak.
