Just before being sworn in: Were going to have insurance for everybody, Trump said in an interview with The Washington Post. There was a philosophy in some circles that if you cant pay for it, you dont get it. Thats not going to happen with us.
Early in the primary process he tweeted: I was the first & only potential GOP candidate to state there will be no cuts to Social Security, Medicare & Medicaid Medicaid is hit in the Ryan/Trump plan.
His HHS secretary said this past Sunday: I firmly believe that nobody will be worse off financially in the process that were going through. Looks at the CBO estimated costs for older adults. Even if they are half wrong, it's still more costly.
I am going to take care of everybody
Everybodys going to be taken care of much better than theyre taken care of now. More recently, Trump has promised that repeal will end with a beautiful picture.
Right, but whenever he went further on having insurance for everyone, it just meant our current Medicaid and Medicare, and then private plans available for those who could afford them, made much cheaper by free market reforms.
He promised no cuts to SS, medicare and medicaid, but he also said that he would move to block grants for medicaid.
He’s a salesman who tries to paint a positive picture about his plans, but his content was reasonably well enumerated, and it was in no way that the government would provide everyone with healthcare.
You know what they say about salesmen. You know they are lying when their lips are moving.
All too true!
