If I answer this question incorrectly, will that be the end of the discussion? Will you drop it immediately, with zero follow-up?
Because I that’s what happened to me. I asked my original question as an opening for discussion. You answered it incorrectly. Now, having legalistically checked that box, you want me to answer your question.
This is getting no one anywhere. Answering my question incorrectly and then refusing to discuss it is rank futility. If you can’t politely and civilly discuss these isdues, what is the point?
Rom 16:17-19 17
NIV
“Joshua Goodbaum served as a clerk for Gorsuch in 2009, and now works as an attorney. He told Reuters on Friday that on the week of his 2014 wedding with his partner, Gorsuch expressed his support.
He said, This is a wonderful thing. Youll see how your relationship grows,’ Goodbaum recalled.
“
Uhuh.
NO SALE.
Next Candidate?
If this is a true statement, I agree..NEXT CANDIDATE for sure!! First dissapointment in a Trump nominee!
so it didn’t matter what “ church” Obama went to.. just saying?
.
Tread easy!
What else could he have said? He couldn’t fire him.
Good scripture. Again does not command the Roman Christians to leave that church. Nor to stay, but at that early date there probably were not a lot of choices.
.
Just exactly what do you think Gorsuch should have done?
.
.
You offer nothing but sophistry.
.
But I guess I'm the only one who see’s this. I do trust DTJ.
Not to me, Obama wasn't running as a Republican......For all the years you've been here, I'm disappointed you never knew that......Just sayin'
***Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.***
The issue in this verse is not able to say that salvation is by anything except grace through faith. IMO, Jesus is repeating a thought he had earlier stated. **Mt 10:42 And whoever in the name of a disciple gives to one of these little ones even a cup of cold water to drink, truly I say to you, he shall not lose his reward.**
In each, it has something to do with His followers (brethren or disciple)
Personally, I’m thinking that Jesus rewards even the tiniest amount of faith (mustard seed faith) and that the actions demonstrate a tiniest show of faith in Him and that He rewards it with salvation.
It took courage to help those persecuted for being with Jesus. The only reason for doing so would be a bit of faith in the Messiah.
Therefore, these passages do not say good works result in salvation. They are saying that faith results in salvation. Even the tiniest demonstration of faith saves by the grace of God. Even giving a cup of water.
Gorsuch’s issue before God, like with all of us, will be whether he has believed in the One God has sent.
Not the right church, right bible translation, not the right understanding of the millennium...but faith in Jesus the Messiah of God.
>>but faith in Jesus the Messiah of God.
The sin against the Holy Spirit is the conscious, persistent, stubborn, unyielding refusal of someone who was at one time a believer to acknowledge his or her sin, be sorry for it, and desire Gods forgiveness in Christ.
Do the members of a church who condone homosexual marriage acknowledge their sin?
Do those who commit any sin have access to forgiveness? Yes.
Are they kept by grace as well as saved by grace? Yes. It is by grace from first to last.
Do they believe in Jesus in a John 3;16 kind of way? I hope, but God knows not me.
Why was Paul able to say that his murders were sins of ignorance? Because he now understood the full sinfulness of sin.
Can Christians sin and be forgiven when they finally understand their ignorance? Yes, they do not do what they want to do, but sin living in them does it.
Who shall deliver them from this body of death? I thank God through my Lord Jesus Christ.
“His wife Louise frequently leads the intercessory prayer “
The horror!
Absolutely agree with everything you said. Very succinctly and effectively stated—thank you.
The old hymn: “Grace, grace, God’s grace, grace that is greater than all our sin.”
I often imagine the Holy Spirit Himself touched some of those hymn writers of bygone days. The words seem too inspired, in certain cases, to be explained by human capacity alone. The hymn you mentioned definitely falls into that class.
Absolutely. He is risen. He is real. His Spirit testifies with our spirit that we are children of God.
Amen!
