You have good taste, as always. She was so pretty in that show and brilliantly funny and true to life. What an actress. She said she studied Dick Van Dyke to learn comedy and it always showed.

Julie and Bridget are also idols of mine. Compare those great stars to the horse-faced, hook-nosed Streep.

It’s pretty obvious you know your Dick Van Dyke Show - down to the annoying Richie who I always believed was based on Rob Reiner. If you doubt me, look at Rob Reiner’s kid in The Russians are Coming, The Russians are Coming - although written by William Rose. A Richie clone!

Everything in that show was perfect - Rosemarie, Morey Amsterdam, the great Richard Deacon, Carl Reiner, Jerry Paris, etc...you couldn’t beat that cast or those scripts.

I found it on Hulu and have watched four or five episodes. He does show up in I think the second episode, clearly for a booty call. So funny the careful way they dealt with it back then!!

He says something like “You don’t think I came all the way out here for .... did you?” She throws him out and cries.

In the episode on right now, she is working out in her apartment wearing only a tight tee shirt and panty hose. Wouldn’t that have been pretty racy back then??
