i agree. The Constitution specifies a majority of appointed electors and if electors are not appointed by any state then the threshold drops from 270. The other point is that state legislatures certify results and appoint electors and they alone hold that power.
More are coming-around to seeing the utter worthlessness and perpetual malignancy of LIBs. That is a good thing.
The last I heard, Hillary! is ahead in the popular vote by 2.3 million. Of that 2.3 million, 4.5 million came from California. If you take California out of the mix, Trump won the popular vote by 2.2 million.
In other words, Hillary! won the popular vote in CA, and Trump won the overall popular vote in the other 49 states.
It gets even better. Of Hillary!'s 2.3 million vote lead, 2.6 million votes come from four, count 'em, four counties in CA (Los Angeles, San Francisco, Santa Clara, San Diego).
In other words, Hillary! won the overall popular vote in four counties, and Trump won the overall popular vote in 3100+ counties.
(Data are from the CA Secretary of State)
Hillary is mentally ill.
It appears all of the sane advice she got from advisors, including Bill, was to not go here.
You can't really expect her to come out and give a speech when she was ****-faced drunk.
Read it again.
That provision refers to a tie; it is not applicable to my statement.
“and if no person have such majority” <— a tie
My statement refers to a different provision for when there are ‘conflicting sets’ of electoral votes cast.
Back in the ‘80s Soviet defector Tomas Shumann observed: “Socialists HATE capitalism, but LOVE capital”.
Kasich wasn’t even on the ballot around the country-—How could he be the 3rd vote getter?
Please explain.
Go to thread #3501590 and read about the massive voter fraud in District 15 in Clark County, Nevada. I don’t think this is a ‘one of’ situation.
When you do the math, it is staggering-—and all in a district where less than 18,000 votes were cast.
Take away the illegals who voted for Shrillary & she is nowhere near the winner of the “popular vote”. Trump won over 82% of the 3144 counties in the USA.
IF nothing else, this chaos will put the voter rolls into the spotlight & Trump administration will demand that they get repaired.
Also- I will bet that EVERY State legislature is looking long & hard at their state laws regarding recounts. The Michigan law that says a person has to pay only $125 per precinct for a recount is woefully too cheap. Some estimates are that the recount will cost the taxpayers of Michigan over $12 MILLION. That should scare the rest of the states into action.
I have a plan that is on thread 3498841-post #44. Too long to retype here. See what I wrote & tell me what you would add.
And have the "sore winner" Deplorable Despicables sit quietly while it happens, while they're eagerly counting their "auxiliary voting pellets"...
I guess I’m still a newbie; how does one find a thread by thread number?
Once an elector decides he's going to go "faithless" and vote for somebody other than the candidate he's supposed to be committed to, then he can vote for ANYBODY. Kasich. Himself. You. Me. His cat. Anybody.
As originally conceived, people were going to vote for electors, local men of known good judgement, NOT directly vote for President. The electors were going to go off together and determine who looked like a good candidate for President
Summed up well:
“Go home and stay home, while the rest of America sits down and tries to stop shaking from the whizzing sound of that bullet we just dodged.”
