I’m sure Dr. Carson will have a top notch assistant who will be there while he quickly learns his new job.
In the meanwhile, Dr. Carson will continue to be an outstanding role model for America... especially those growing up, or feeling trapped in the inner city.
Perhaps there is not a person on this earth who is better at picking the right man or woman for the job than one Donald J. Trump. But in addition to this HUD position, I hope to God that Dr. Carson will also be a close and trusted confidant of Trump. He is good man.

I think Carson’s interest lies in education. His mother forcing them to read is what saved him and his brother from life in the ghetto. I believe he’d like to help develop the inner cities and provide a decent education to all.
And he’s so damn smart he’ll catch on to everything in the first month.

He was almost certainly right, but if that's the case, what the hell was the guy doing running for President? If he has doubts about his ability to run a Federal department or agency, why was he so assured that he could function well in America's highest office? Most likely the low bar set by Obama caused everyone and his brother to think that he ought to be President.
Well this will be a real mess compared to the current team of "experienced" professionals that have been in charge of this for the last few decades......../S
You sir do not know what you are talking about. He is an expert at reconstructing skulls of babies joined at the head. Building an apartment building is much easier.
If you get a HUD loan, they have rules about you hanging laundry out to dry or the verbiage used in your loan documents . . .
They send HUD auditors to review the loan servicing by the lender and find mistakes, then the next year they send a new auditor who says the mistakes were right and go back to the first way of doing things.
Stuff like that.

HUD is not in the construction business and this is not a construction issue. HUD is a Gibsmedats agency at its core. The truth hurts, but that is what it is. The policy of moving low income, minorities, single parent families into stable, two parent communities is been disastrous for those communities. Decent, hard-working neighborhoods have morphed into drug addled, crime infested neighborhood where real estate prices dropped like a stone. We need better solutions.
