John Roberts said a little while ago on Fox that Trump really likes Matis but there is a law/regulation that states that someone in the military/pentagon needs to be out for 7 years before taking a cabinet position (paraphrasing). It can be done with a waiver, so now it’s up in the air and Matis is not confirmed as the SecDef nominee per his sources. I think the waiver needs to come from Congress, but I’m not certain on that. If that is the case, I would think they’d provide the waiver since Matis has received high praises from the military and almost everyone else.

Pepe is a meme generated- by and large, from the folks at 4chan (alt right). The uber left have assigned various pejoratives and negative meanings to Pepe. The Deplorables have embraced Pepe and all of the derogatories assigned to the meme, just as the left assigned made up charges against Trump supporters like racist, homophobe, Islamophobe, misogynist, etc., that went nowhere.
