[Is anyone at all still reading National Review?]
Yes, VDH is a gem.
There is STILL no philosophical, nor enterprising connection between Bannon, the alt-right and antisemitism.
But there are STILL purveyors of this slander on FR and NRO.
Claiming and contending for a position STILL does not make it true.
The next person to pop up on FR with such drivel, please PING ME to it!
The reason I started paying attention to politic was I loved watching Buckley (The founder of National Review) of Firing Line. I thought his Bostonian accent was a hoot! I was in middle school at the time.
I have never voted for a Rat thanks to Mr. Buckley.
“National Review is one of the most established and respected conservative publications.”
Not for at least 20 years.
They are the propaganda outlet for Establishment GOP and Neoconservatism. And, the wretched whore otherwise known as Conservative Orthodoxy.
No. Ctrl-Left Despicable
Dang. Them dude’s got trolled to death.
“What are cucks?”
“cuckservatives”- a portmanteau of cuckold + conservative
mocking the worthless cowards who have been dominating what one website has called Conservatism, Inc.— a racket composed of frauds like George Will, Hugh Hewitt, and that GOPe ilk.
you are living in the past
Whats wrong with being a white nationalist, anyway?
Thank You!! Proud white nationalist here. Proud of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights...the single greatest document ever used to govern.
The Nation Review is Not Toilet Paper, but face it, that is all it is good for.
I read the article. It’s quite good.
As Tuttle notes, people who know Bannon say he is not a racist or a Nazi or anything of the kind, so we take their word for that.
But the key point, as Tuttle aptly puts it, is that “his de facto endorsement of it enables it to spread and to claim legitimacy, and that what is now a vicious fringe could, over time, become mainstream.”
That de facto endorsement includes making Breitbart a platform for the alt-right (Bannon’s own phrase). You don’t legitimize these people.
Here is a link to an earlier article of Tuttle’s on the subject of the alt-right. It explains in some detail who they are and that, in turn, explains why you don’t legitimize them.
http://www.nationalreview.com/article/433650/alt-rights-racism-moral-rot
We need to be careful whom we let into our house. To quote T.S. Eliot, “Shall I at least put my own lands in order?” We don’t keep our lands in order by allowing people like the alt-righters to go on a rampage all over them.
The Left and their GOPe quislings have been celebrating what they see as the imminent demise of historic white America- those Americans who were 90% of the population before the 1965 immigration act, blacks being the other 10%. Other races were so few they basically didn’t register.
Native white Americans are falling below 70% thanks to massive 3rd world immigration, legal as well as illegal. GOPe plotters shape their policy to put latino interests first. Leftists celebrate the soon arriving end of white America, a group that they especially despise. They see Obama as the coming face of the New America that non-whites will rule. Anyone who thinks that there isn’t a hard core of racism on the Left isn’t listening to them. It’s anti-white and it’s becoming all the more open as they sense victory.
Where do you get these charges?
No, I’m living now. As a movement conservative, I have a lot of respect for National Review. Its articles and arguments would make Mr. Buckley proud.
And WFB would find no room in our movement for alt-righters. He spent a lot of time keeping those types out of our movement.
Likely they are suing CNN.
From the link:
“While Bannon was executive chairman of Breitbart, the website published a story by David Horowitz referring to conservative commentator Bill Kristol as a renegade Jew, something that has been mentioned repeatedly in media coverage calling Breitbart a white nationalist website.
Democrats have also slammed Bannon, arguing that Trump is bringing a white supremacist into the White House.”
David Horowitz is Jewish calling Kristol a renegade Jew. Big whoop. What David did is NOT an example of white nationalism nor is Steve a white supremecist.
But getting attention about it is their goal. What needs to be done is just what Breitbart is doing, sue the a-holes and name names. Every time someone on our side gets before CNN and is asked a stupid question or makes a snide innuendo, start harping on about the lawsuit of slander and ask the bastards if they would like to have their crap amended to the suit. Then that shifts the focus to their misdeeds which is where the discussion belongs.
If you don't know, I can't help you. But if you are one, you're no conservative.
I'm surprised Jim is letting people like this roam around FR now.
” those types out of our movement”
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA
What’s so funny? This is exactly what Bill would do — and his entire editorial board would have supported him.
Standing up for the National Review makes it clear that you are against everything FR stands for.
