I’m sorry, but I think most Americans of every education level, every income level, every walk of life are hesitant about ‘Muslims’.
I personally put them in the category of ‘Wiccan’ practitioners. I am just not going to give them a pass.

Although Atatürk was a ruthless dictator, he and his secular government succeeded in folding the cancerous Islamic system back on itself by creating an introspection in the Muslim, that Islam was not about conquering infidels external to the body, rather conquering the infidel within the soul. Thus, there were no outward acts of terror to commit on non-Muslem peoples, there was only a battle to be fought inside one’s own soul. Thus again, the Muslem became peaceful and agreeable.
And to cap it off, a heroic contemporary of Atatürk who articulates and reflects the sentiment of Atatürk’s time:
