Freep Poll on Lester Holt's Performance

Last night, both Lester Holt and Hillary Clinton (unwittingly) served our cause well.

It was clear right from the start that if elected POTUS, Hillary Clinton, aided by the leftist media, would double down on all the leftist policies under the sun.

Trump appeared to me almost defenseless against the well articulated, tag team, leftist barrage from Ckinton and Holt, but after listening to post mortems from Newt Gingrich, Rudy Guliano, Laura Ingraham, and even Ted Cruz of all people, I am realizing Trump pulled off another “rope a dope”.

If Trump had said the ‘clever’ things I wanted him to say, he might have won the battles but list the war. He might have come off as an articulate policy wonk (like me) but in doing so, he may have stopped their liberal tyrade in its tracks; deprived them of the rope with which to hang themselves.

This is what I’m slowly learning during this amazing election cycle: being an articulate constitutional conservative scholar is not the way to win. Ronald Reagan was all that, but maybe that’s not why he won.

Reagan was a sympathetic character. When he got attacked, I felt his frustration and love of country. While I thought he was winning me over because of his wit and wisdom, he was really winning my heart with his sacrifice and exposing the evil of Marxism for all to see.

I think Trump is doing the same and Lester Holt just got duped into helping him. I give Holt an A for being a useful idiot.
