But have those who “trained you”?
Charity or lack thereof begins at home.
You mean my parents? Did I say they would be violent? I said they would be displeased and severe with me.
They insisted we call them “Sir” and “Ma’am”. They demanded we treat adults with respect and courtesy. And they let us know they would brook no disrespect to the flag or the customs of the US Military.
Some people might say “Oh, they are kids. Let them do what they want...they can determine what is right and wrong, they will get older and wiser and it will all be good.
No. That kind of approach is what has our society in the position it is in today, and while my parents weren’t perfect, they weren’t stupid enough or so inconsiderate of our future that they would just let us figure it out on their own.
Good.
I hope more sponsors react to these ingrates.
You speak in extremes that are not justified, and then accuse me of doing so.
We must choose whether or not to accept. We can be advised to the wise, but if we do not choose with the heart, the allegiance is superficial and brittle.
In fact, please tell us true if they WERE violent. Things play through generations.
YES, it is.
Occasionally, at a ballgame, the camera will pan in on a man standing at attention, SALUTING our flag.
Foghorn Leghorn: "It warms, ah say, it warms the cockles of mah heart."
Reminds me of a lyric from one of Billy Joel’s big hits, “you can speak your mind/but not on my time..”
