500 million that would pay for one fifth of an F35, maybe they could scrap about 25 of those.
I am pretty sure it wouldn't be a job for you.

You go to war with the army you have, not the army you want.
The prospect of doing that, right now, today, is frightening.

You don’t go to war to half-ass it too. But, the U.S. hasnt’ been in a war to WIN since WWII.
One only needed the confirmation, laid out by Bush...”Winning the hearts and minds....”. Liberals, and the hawks of the GOP (IMO, mainly big $$ donors of the military-industrial complex), have given us the Islamic spread across the world we have today. If\when a\the nuke(s) go off, I only hope they target D.C. when the halls are filled to the brim.
Ah, that should have read $500 billion, but still, over a 10 year period, it sounds like a good start.
I understand the politics of it, but we need a realignment of military resources, not more spending, so I hope this is just campaign rhetoric.
I’ll leave the understanding of the politics of it to you.
I’m worried, as is Trump, about our survival.
Most on this thread have no idea how close to war we are, and how totally unprepared we are.
Apparently that includes you.
Think of the condition we and the Brits were in prior to WWII. It’s at least that bad today.
Since I'm not running for president then I would agree.
