Sigh. Let me explain and break it down to you.
There was no need for Sheriff Clarke to talk to Walker and have the Guard on stand-by. Clarke is the Milwaukee County Sheriff. Other than county parks and buildings, he's got nothing to do with the city of Milwaukee. Not a damn thing. Barrett is in charge of Milwaukee. By calling out the Guard, they are absolving Barrett and Democrats of any responsibility, and if anything further happens, it'll be blamed on Walker, not Barrett.
Seriously, what Walker should have said is that this is a city matter and that Mayor Barrett should be answering all questions.
Go right ahead, all you Wisconsin voters for HRC. I’m sure your hero will quickly resolve the problems you’re now experiencing in Milwaukee.
This is such BS. Don’t call up the NG and expect them to be cops without any virtue of training.
Call up more cops and let them do their jobs. when the fecal matter has hit the occilator, here is no time to explain to the uninitiated the finer points of 4th, 5th and 6th Amendments and the case laws governing use of force, detentions, patdowns and what not.
Bad optix for the Democrats. Really bad optix.
When punks turn over police cars or burn them and burn buildings and loot the guard needs to come in fast. I can tell you we had three tornados head straight for the old race track in Omaha in about 72-73. They turned north at the last second and tore up 72nd then went down Dodge after tearing up a motel. All of the retail businesses wear like wide open as the roofs were gone. That evening we went to what is now the Drover and the NG was out protecting the area. That is just smart. The local police are not for riots. The NG is a better choice.
Almost every State’s NG has training with the police in joint riot control.
